Frequent flyers, give me some tips please?

Fares went up because whatever flight you were looking at on Monday probably was a 7 day advanced purchase fare and now that its Wednesday and less than a week before the fare went up. Its unlikely it will go back down. If you need to fly next Tues you're probably going to pay whatever the fare is at this point.
