What is a good way for an American to learn (Irish)Gaelic?

I'm an American woman who would like to teach primary school in Ireland, and since Gaelic is compulsory and part of the curriculum, I am doing the best I can to learn it. Can anyone recommend any good resources, or does is anyone out there fluent and able to help me with my pronounciation and conversation?
