How to seal granite counter tops?

The specialty tile/marble shops will carry products to do this. So will Home Depot etc. My granite was sealed by the installer with a clear liquid that reminded me of turpentine. That lasted 10 years but I could not get that product, and do not know what it was, when I just reseal this past year. I used a product made by DuPont - costing about $65 for a quart. I was not impressed. The original sealer caused water to bead - this new product just doesn't seem a good. But there are other products just for this purpose so give one of them a try.
