How to prevent blisters?
Make sure the boots fit you! One thing to buy a pair of boots, another thing to wear them with one pair of socks, then two pairs of socks. However if the boots do not fit you correctly and they are not suitable for the type of surface you will be using, you will get blisters. I knew nothing about boots, so wandered into a 'Mountaineering Out Door Activity Shop'. Saw a pair of boots and thought they are nice, fit well. The sales istant came over and I explained I wanted the boot for walking my dog. The istant replied 'If you are walking on the pavements, or paths these boots are not suitable, you need to go to a normal shop. These boots are for off pavements, paths, more for hiking up the side of mountains where you have gr and mud!' I was tempted to ask if they came with four wheel drive? Best of Luck
