New VW Beetle vs Vintage VW Beetle?

The old Beetle fails on all four points. By todays standards the old Beetle was not durable or reliable. Many modern cars will go 100,000 miles without a tuneup or adjustment. Old Beetles needed plugs, points and valve adjustments every few thousand miles. Poor brakes, poor handling, and no crash protection make them death traps. Because of its novelty or collector status it is not even cheap.
