HOTELS HELP PLEASE?!?!?

Well me and my boyfriend want to go on a short break in the UK this summer. Were looking for somwhere nice since want to celebrate that *SPECIAL NIGHT* ;) as we are both still virgins. Ideally a nice place in Brighton. However there is one downside to this, Im wondering if we would be allowed to stay somewhere being underage as some of them say that you have to be over 18. Well i was wondering since we will both be under if it is possible to put it in your mums name and do they have to know that you put it in your mums name or are you not supposed to tell them. Or even isit possible to lie and say that you are over 18 or would they ask for some sort of ID. help me please we really want thiss!! looking for someone that has experienced this problem or is familliar with this sort of situation!!
