Why is it that people who disagree with Libertarian's think that we should forgo what our tax dollars provide?

Why is it always the catch cry of the 'statist' that we should not use what taxes provide because we are against the idea of taxation? We paid taxes for that provision, our dislike of taxes means that we have a duty to try and get as much of it back (through use) as we possibly can. What possible reason can there be for these anti-libertarian arguments to such an end?
